November 30, December 1 & 2 2012
At University of San Francisco – 2130 Fulton St., San Francisco, CA 94118

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Join labor media, video and computer professionals and activists from around the world at the 2012
LaborTech conference in San Francisco on November 30, December 1&2. The conference, which will be held at
the University of San Francisco (USF) will focus on how workers and unions can use new communication
technology to get their stories and messages out and break the information blockade facing labor. It will also
look at spying on workers using facebook and other social media as well as online education and how that
will affect education. We will also look at how the internet can build global solidarity with our brothers and
sisters in the US and around the world.
Workshops will be held on how to stream live from your actions and rallies, how to build your own labor
channel and library, and how to use cell phones to send videos and organize for power. We also look at
how and social networking is being used to build new solidarity networks.
